The “City of Pearls” remains as the capital of Telangana which is the Hyderabad. It holds many treasures within like the Charminar, Golconda fort, Ramoji Film city, Salar Jung Museum, Hussain Sagar Lake and many more.

Golconda Fort
The stoned walls, corbelled lanes, high domes, popping shrubs on a rocky hill , loads and loads of stairs invites our eyes.We can find fascinating history in each and every stone of the dome that was constructed by Yadavas and Kakatiyas in 1518 and Qutb Shahis renowned it as their citadel which is built on top of a granite hill at a height of 120 metres. Beyond the mighty gates with iron spikes, lies a huge dome at the entrance welcoming us with intricate details upon it. Upon reaching the top of the fort, the entire fort can be rejoiced by us and when we turn back we could find a two storey building called Baradari with open terraces and audience hall called Diwan-i-Am and Diwan-i-Khas. The Kilwat is a royal private chamber that is small but ornate structure while the rani mahal is the largest chamber during the phase of Qutb Shahi. We can observe the old cannonfire and the cannonballs which was once used by the military as a display. For the history buffs, we can enjoy the light and sound shows and a unique feature that must experimented is even a whisper or a fluttering cloth from the entrance dome can be heard in the top chamber.

Charminar that is synonymous with Hyderabad is a massive structure that was built by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah, fifth ruler of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. It is a square structure with four minarets in each corner with three storeys in each rising up for 56 meters letting us to reach the platform on top through 149 steps which are heavily crooked. The arches on the roof and minarets offers an aesthetic value to the structure with its floral designs and corbels that are often accompanied by the pigeons on it. It holds a mosque in the second floor and it is located at the centre of the city with clocks on four directions. We can adore the whole of the city from atop of Charminar and observe many food stalls and pearl shops around it. It is a best place for some street shopping and good food. For the lover of pearls , it is a paradise where we can find pearl jewels in different shapes and shades.

Ramoji Film City
Allot an entire day to visit this marvellous film city. For the movie buffs, it is the best vacation that is mandatory for a visit which can’t be regretted. It is a magical realm that is filled with surprises and incitement everywhere we look. It is a largest film city covering 2000 acres with numerous sets holding a guiness record. The best attractions of the film city are Filmy Duniya that allows us to travel different places like Bangkok, Hawaii, Paris or New york. The Borasura is a magician’s workshop with puzzling mazes and pirate ship entrances leaving us into a thrilling world. Birds park and the butterfly park are a must visit for bird lovers while the Kripalu caves are for the yogis. The Buddha fountain located here is a visual treat. There are other events arranged to attract the tourists in every themed sets. Be sure to assemble before the Europa gate by 10.30 a.m to enjoy a spectacular performance of the whole film city dancers.

Kawal Wildlife Sanctuary
It is a must visit wildlife sanctuary in Telangana with rich flora and fauna. To observe the animals in its true nature, kawal wildlife sanctuary is a go to place. With wild beasts and birds, sloth bears, panthers, tigers, pythons and star tortoises, the wildlife sanctuary invites the tourists eyes. We can take a safari ride from 6am to 5pm for a hour or two to delve into the wilderness.

Mallela Theertham Waterfall
Mallela theertham can be quoted as the locals retreat that is a cascade into the woods with a 150 feet waterfall. The place is right out of a painting all through the year except for summers when the water flow is reduced. It starts from the thick and dense Nallamala forest and forms a small brimming stream, finally reaching the Krishna river. It is enroute to holy Srisailam from Hyderabad. It is most preferred by the adventurers for trekking, river crossing, zip lining and camping under the trees.

The winter months from December to mid-March is the best time to visit Telangana while April to May are scorching hot and humid and the monsoons are a tough time since cyclones are formed more often in the coastal regions.

Karachi biscuits
Every visit to hyderabad is not complete without 4 packs of karachi biscuits in our backpacks. The Karachi bakery was founded by the Sindhi family who migrated from pakistan during the partition started it in Hyderabad in 1952. Now it is the most famous bakery all around the country. The Osmania biscuits are the best when accompanied with a hot cup of chai. The cashew, chocolate cashew, fruit and the badam pista are famous biscuits from this bakery.

Irani chai
The Irani chai was introduced in Hyderabad, Telangana by the persians that has a very unique taste from the slowly brewed spice decoction. It is a tea that is made with star anise, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and pepper in boiling water simmered by adding milk and tea leaves and served hot with sugar cubes.

Hyderabadi dum biryani
The perfect cooking of rice, spices, onions, lemon and other ingredients. The meat used is marinated for 12 hours, then soaked in yoghurt which later sandwiched between the rice in a handi,cover with a lid and seal it with either dough or hot charcoal on top to create the dum that is cooked with logs of wood or charcoal.

Telangana can be reached by rail,road and air. All the rails from the country reaches the Secunderabad railway station from where local trains are used to reach the desirable places. Other major rail junctions are the Kazipet and Warangal connecting the main cities of other states. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport of Hyderabad is the only international airport connecting all the renowned airlines to the state. And six national highways connects the state in roadways that are utilized by buses, private cabs, bikes and cars,etc...
