Arrive at Cape Town International Airport. On arrival, you will be met by a local representative who will transfer you to your hotel by a private vehicle. Capetown is South Africa's oldest city and therefore fondly called the 'Mother City'. The city's rich history embraces many different peoples and cultures from various parts of the world, which, over centuries, have blended into an interesting and diverse population. To get a glimpse of this richness, a tour of the city and its historic buildings, architecture and gardens is highly recommended. Arrive at the hotel and check in. Rest of the day at leisure to explore on own – Recommended is – Victoria & Alfred Waterfront - This bustling shopping, dining and entertainment area flanking the Table Bay harbour is synonymous with a visit to Cape Town.
After breakfast, proceed for half day Cape Town City tour on Seat-in-coach including tickets up to the Table Mountain by cable car. Take the cable car to the summit of the legendary Table Mountain and get spectacular views of the entire city and the surrounding layout of this southernmost tip of Africa. Then we visit the country's oldest building, The Castle of Good Hope and the Company Gardens, both historically fascinating, further past through Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the Slave Lodge. Colonial changes to colorful as we move up the cobble stoned hills to the Malay Quarter and marvel at the ice-cream colors of the quaint Bo-Kaap homes. The day ends on a sparkling note, as we trace the moves of a professional diamond cutter, who creates diamonds. Your tour ends with the drop back to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Capetown.
After breakfast, proceed for a full day Peninsula Tour on Seat-in-coach – its wild, its rugged and is one of the most memorable coastlines, Cape Peninsula and the splendor of Cape Point. See some of the most spectacular views in the world. Visit Chapman?s Peak Drive which is famous for its 180° views of Cape Peninsula. See the charming fishing village of Hout Bay, home to crafts markets and antique shops. Enjoy a short walking tour at the lush Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens which features a vast variety of indigenous species. Experience some of the most spectacular views in the world. The tour begins with a scenic drive along the Atlantic coast passing through the fishing village of Hout Bay. Here you will have
the option of taking a short boat trip to Duiker Island to view the Cape Fur seals – Seal Island (cruise included). The tour then heads along Chapman's Peak. Drive on to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Return to Cape Town by way of the Simon's Town naval base where we visit the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (included). Travel via Fish Hoek fishing village and Muizenberg to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a short walking tour. Overnight at hotel in Capetown.
After breakfast, check out and proceed on Seat-in-coach to Knysna. En route visit Oudtshoorn, a picturesque town recognised as the ostrich capital of the world, as the climate is ideal for these large birds to breed and live. Oudtshoorn is home to over 400 ostrich farms as well as several Feather Mansions. The world's biggest bird is just one of the many attractions in this area of exceptional contrasts and natural beauty. Further proceed to visit he famous Cango Caves and an Ostrich Farm. Then visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch – with various attractions. Attractions – Valley of Ancients, Snake Park, Kuranda Forest, Cheetahland, Wallaby Walkabout, Kidzone and Animal Encounters and lots more. If you are brave enough, you can also try the world?s first crocodile cage dive. Further make your way to an Ostrich farm near Oudtshoorn for a highly entertaining and educational tour, where you will learn more about these remarkable birds, their fascinating nature and their industry.Enjoy lunch (own cost) at the farm. Proceed further to arrive at Knysna and check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Knysna.
After breakfast, proceed for a tour of Featherbed Nature Reserve – it gives visitors to the Garden Route 'an unforgettable experience on the Knysna Lagoon'. The Lagoon, more accurately defined as an estuary, has five fresh water rivers flowing in from the surrounding Outeniqua Mountains meeting with the surge of sea water from the Indian Ocean through the mighty headlands – known as the 'Knysna Heads' - the
grand sandstone cliffs towering above the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon. The Featherbed Nature Reserve, situated on the Western Head in Knysna, is the premier eco-experience on the Garden Route. Take a 4 x 4 trailer drive up the Headland onto the reserve, stopping at spectacular viewpoints. The guide will give you a brief on the flora and fauna. There is also an optional 2.2 km walk through coastal forest and fynbos into ancient sea caves. Take a world-renowned buffet lunch (at an additional cost) at an outdoor restaurant setting under a canopy of Milkwood trees. It is a 4 hours experience and enjoyed by both young and old. Featherbed Nature Reserve is home to a breeding program of the rare Blue Duiker - one of the smallest antelope species in the world - the beautiful Knysna Loerie and the endangered Knysna Sea Horse. Visitors have the rare opportunity to view these creatures on the Reserve.
