On arrival at the Bandaranaike International airport, you will be warmly greeted by your very own chauffeur guide and transferred to Kandy (Approx. 3hrs drive). On arrival in the hotel, spend the day at leisure relaxing and enjoying the hotel facilities. In the evening visit Temple of Tooth in Kandy. Located in Kandy, long a center of the Buddhist faith, the stunning 17th-century Temple of the Tooth (Sri DaladaMaligawa) is believed to house the left upper canine tooth of the Lord Buddha himself. This precious relic attracts white-clad pilgrims, bearing lotus blossoms and frangipani, every day. Spend two overnights at Hilltop Hotel.
After breakfast drive to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage (approx. 1 1?2 hrs)-The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage provides visitors with the best chance of seeing a large number of elephants at close quarters. The orphanage was established in 1975 and commenced with seven orphaned elephants. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their calf’s born in the same location. Assisted by local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawala commenced a successful captive breeding program and the first baby elephant was born in 1984. It is most interesting to visit at feeding time to see the baby elephants being bottle fed and the entire herd taken for a bath thereafter to the river nearby.On completion of this visit, you will be transferred to Peradeniya where you will be able to visit the Botanical Garden. It is situated about 5.5 km to the west from the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka It is renowned for its collection of a variety of orchids. It includes more than 4000 species of plants, including of orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres.Spend overnight at Hilltop Hotel
After breakfast, proceed with your guide to visit a Tea Plantation and a Tea Factory. (Approx. 02 hours’ drive) TEA PLANTATIONS - Tea was first planted in Sri Lanka in 1824 at the Botanical Gardens at Peradeniya, when a few plants were brought from China. More were introduced from Assam in 1839. In 1867, a Scottish Planter named James Taylor planted tea seedlings in an 8 hectares of forestland, in the Loolkondura Estate. In 1873, the tea export industry of Sri Lanka began with a modest 23 lbs. being shipped to London. Tea will grow only on rolling terrain and is classified by elevation into low grown, medium grown and high grown into 3 main groups. Today more than 200,000 hectares in highlands and other areas are under Tea and around 300 million Kilograms, with a 25% of world tea exports are done by Sri Lanka as the World’s largest Tea exporter.In the Evening, you can enjoy a city tour in Nuwara Eliya. In this city tour You can visit Victoria Park. It is an attractive and well-used oasis. It is popular with birdwatchers at quieter times because of the good opportunities it gives to see various species, And also you can visit Gregory Lake. If you want boat ride on Gregory Lake, We can arrange it. As well as you can visit Golf courses in Nuwara Eliya Town Spend overnights at Avian Breeze.
After the Breakfast we drive to Haggala Botanical Garden (Approx. 30 Mins drive).The Gardens was firs established in 1861 under the curatorship of three British of the same name - William Nock, JK Nock and JJ Nock. It lies under the Hakgala Peak, between 5000 - 6000 feet in elevation - the highest set Botanic Gardens in the world. It boasts 100 year old Monetary Cypress trees from California, Japanese Cedars, Himalayan Pines and English Oak.On completion of this visit you will be transferred to Colombo. (Approx. 06 hours’ drive) Spend overnights at Grand Oriental Hotel.

It was quite a disappointment for us during our 2 days stay. The hotel is quite noisy as its located up hill and near by a temple. WiFi signal was not available throughout the hotel.

We had rooms with city view. fairly big room they were very clean. Good hospitality and foods were good with a choice.
However walkways are bit slippery, Pool attendant is available. Carom and table...
